/// What it does

Four things a map
with a line on it does not.

You give the engine its orders

Presets, switches and advanced settings — per sport, visible before you leave, and yours to change.

Route preferences

From the first point to the GPX

Five steps on one map. Distance, ascent, gradient and surface recalculate while you draw.

How it works

Several tracks, one story

A four-day trip is not four files. Each stage keeps itself; the totals stay in sight.

Trips

The route leaves with you

Export a GPX for a bike computer or a watch — or import a track you already have.

GPX in and out
/// And you see it straight away

See the route before you live it.

Move a point and distance, time, ascent and altitude update as you draw. Elevation profile under the map, gradient metre by metre, surface declared. What is waiting for you, you know before you leave — not halfway up the climb.

Every climb, before you ride it

Each sport has its own routing engine. Real gradient, not an average: you know where to get out of the saddle and where to hold the wheel, before you leave the house.

/// FAQ

Questions people ask

Is Route Planner free?

Yes. Creating a HuntLog account is free and planning routes is free — there is no subscription and no paid tier for the planner.

Which sports can I plan?

Road cycling, gravel, MTB, running and trail running, hiking and trekking, and skating — each on its own routing engine. Bikepacking, multisport and triathlon are supported as multi-track stories, and swimming can be recorded even though no router can draw it.

Can I export the route as a GPX?

Yes. Any route exports as a standard GPX track — the line, its points and the elevation along it — which loads on Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Suunto, Coros, Polar, Bryton and anything else that reads GPX.

Can I see gradients and elevation gain before I go?

Yes. The elevation profile sits under the map, gradient is computed metre by metre rather than averaged over a climb, and total ascent, distance and estimated time update while you drag a point.
